4 Simple Things you can do for Blissful Toes for Summer!

Here are 4 simple things you can do to ensure that your feet are smooth, sexy, feel good and look good for sandal season, Check it out!

1. Are you drinking enough water daily? Your skin can lose close to a quart of water during the day- even more in dry climates. So be sure you are hydrating yourself everyday to prevent dry skin especially on the heel area.

2. Soak your feet- fill a basin with warm water and add some bath salts. Then add a few drops of YL essential oils like Lemon or Peppermint, which is refreshing and cooling for the feet, and will also soften the skin. Lavender oil or Stress Away is more for evening or when you want to relax.

3. Scrub your feet – no time to get in for a pedicure? Here is a great DIY recipe, as well as info on Young Living’s latest luxurious solution for smooth and blissful feet:

Coconut Lavender Salt scrub– this is a nice remedy for cracked feet because it exfoliates and yet helps to moisturize. Mix the following in a jar

1 cup coarse salt

¼ cup coconut oil

¼ cup Vitamin E oil

5 drops Lavender oil

Apply to your feet and gently scrub them…rinse and pat dry.
Young Living’s NEW Lavamint Softening Foot Scrub a lovely treat for your feet! Black volcanic sand from Iceland, Diatomaceous earth, coconut shell powder combined with Lavender, Spearmint and Peppermint oils are key ingredients.

Massage into dry feet, including toes, soles and heels and then apply a small amount of warm water to transform the gel base into a milky lotion. Continue scrubbing wet feet, and clean with a damp towel or rinse in water. Keeps your feet smooth and sandal ready!

4. Moisturize! A final and very important step!

Nancy Sanderson created a great nail ointment using the Young Living Rose Ointment.

It is great for nail growth, moisturizing the skin around nails, and soothing for many skin irritations. (small batch recipe here)

Soothing Nail Ointment

1 tablespoon Young Living Rose Ointment

1 teaspoon Organic Coconut oil- regular or fractionated or YL V-6 Mixing oil

2 drops YL Geranium Essential oil

2 drops YL Citrus Fresh Essential oil

2 drops YL Myrrh Essential oil

2 drops YL Lavender Essential oil

1 drop YL Rose Essential oil (optional)

Mix all together – I used a small spoon and put into a little jar.

Apply daily- morning and night to nails and rough heels and watch what happens!

Men like it too, as it is very relaxing!
